On the Gateshead side of the river Tyne the spectacular Sage Gateshead music centre and also the Baltic Centre for contemporary art is located. Crossing over the Millennium Bridge onto the Newcastle side you have the Laing Art Gallery, Life Science Centre and the Law Courts. St James Park home of Newcastle United football club is within walking distance, and China Town is a stone’s through away. Located nearby is a vast selection of restaurants and bars which make Newcastle an ideal place to visit to experience the North East hospitality.
Directions
From the South enter Newcastle on the A189 at the Wakenshaw junction. Turn right at the lights then take a left onto Waterloo Street, continue driving which will lead you on to Thornton Street. We are situated at the very top of the street.
From the North at Two Lonnen roundabout take the 2nd exit onto West Road A186. Turn right onto the A189 (Gateshead South), turn left onto Westmorland Road and then left again on to Waterloo Street. Continue to the very top of the street.
Car Parking There is a secure car park to the rear of the apartments at a charge of £8.50 per day. Places are subject to availability and need to be reserved in advance.
Rail Newcastle central station is located on Neville Street less than 5 minutes walk from the apartments
Air Newcastle international airport is located 20 minutes from the city centre and can be reached by the local metro system which runs every 20 minutes.
Bus National Express is located at St. James Boulevard a 5 minute walk.
Taxi can be booked direclyt with reception and the cost of an airport run is £17 approximately. |
